Group classes for self-improvement

In a safe and sacred Council setting, we can listen to and speak from the heart, without fear of judgment. Together, we move into a place of support and compassion for each other and ourselves. From this expanded state, we gain access to our inner authority and build a foundation for ongoing momentum, success and joy. As the collective power of attention helps us to understand and honor the desires of our hearts, you can each feel supported to make positive decisions and create the life you long for.

To be seen and heard is essential for mental and emotional well-being. You don’t have to travel through life alone. Group classes can support you along the way toward true happiness, fulfillment and freedom.

Introduction to Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

What gets in the way of your personal and professional success? This month marks the first of a series of monthly themes that provide strategies that lead to emotional freedom. This month we will be addressing emotional intelligence. I’ll be offering tools to help you gain new awareness so you can make positive changes. Do you experience inner self-criticism that is causing you to procrastinate in completing a project? Are you experiencing financial difficulties? Do you have a difficult time...

What is Emotional Intelligence? How Do I Know if I Have it?

We are continuing our March theme of emotional intelligence! Imagine remaining calm and steady when you are tempted to lose temper. See yourself being tolerant when another driver cuts you off. These are some of the signs of emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize your own emotions and the emotions of others, and being able to use your emotional understanding to guide your thoughts and actions intelligently. Then you can wisely respond to what is happening so...

Communicating Feelings

Can you recall a time when you felt misunderstood? Do you have a hard time expressing how you truly feel? Trying to communicate your feelings and emotions effectively can be difficult to do. The results can be unsuccessful relationships or divorce, being unhappy at work, feeling taken advantage of, or left feeling alone and isolated in the world. To have healthy personal and professional relationships, it is necessary to be aware of what you’re feeling when a difficult situation arises and...

Healing Rejection

Have you ever felt rejected? Most people have. It was one of the most debilitating emotions I experienced growing up. I had constant nightmares about it. I felt all alone in the world with no one to help me. Human beings are born to connect. If you’ve lost connection with your parent or caregiver, most likely you felt rejected. This pain can affect you at the core of your being, your sense of self-worth. This can lead to deep insecurities and difficulty in making healthy choices for your life....

Vulnerability

What do you think of when you hear the word vulnerability? Most people think of it as a weakness. “I feel too vulnerable to share my true feelings.” Or, “I don’t want to look at the ways I feel vulnerable because it’s too uncomfortable or for fear of losing control.” These are very common feelings that can come from the need to protect yourself from rejection or feeling shame or guilt. It is the unconscious self-protection armor that makes you think it’s safer to look away from or not express...

Judgement

We all judge, we judge others by their appearance. We judge them by how they treat us or another. We judge ourselves. We may tell ourselves, “Whatever I do isn’t good enough” or “I’m not smart enough”. Whatever the voices of judgment are, it’s important to pay attention to them. If you were raised in an environment of praise and unconditional love, you most likely have positive thoughts. If however, you were raised with demeaning criticism or abuse, negative thoughts may keep you from living a...

Co-Dependency

Does the saying ‘It’s better to give than to receive’ sound familiar? You may have learned this saying and lived by it as if it’s the golden rule. The problem is, you may have taken it too far and don’t feel comfortable receiving gifts or compliments. You also may not feel happy and fulfilled in your relationships. If you lose yourself in relationship, adapt your behavior to fit in, or are a people pleaser, you’ll benefit from reading this. I was one of those people and suffered through one...
