Are You Struggling to Move Forward After a Traumatic Experience?
Has an assault, accident or illness, eroded the feelings of stability and security you once had in your body and your world? Are you weighed down by the pain of the past? Maybe a pain you thought you’d buried, such as abuse, betrayal or neglect during childhood, has reemerged, making you feel on edge, defeated and worried that you will never be truly safe or free. Alternately, you may be feeling hyper-vigilant, unsafe or anxious without knowing why. You may be having nightmares, flashbacks or unpleasant memories that interrupt your ability to feel at ease, fulfill your responsibilities or enjoy the present moment. Perhaps, when you least expect it, a smell, sound, taste or feeling floods you with discomfort or fear, and you’ve begun to avoid people, places or situations that could potentially trigger distress. It may be that you are always on-guard, anticipating danger, and you’re opting out of career, relationship or life opportunities in an attempt to protect yourself from harm. Is fear driving your decisions and shrinking your sense of self? Do you wish you could resolve pain, feel safe in your own body and gain peace of mind, confidence and hope?
Coping with the aftereffects of trauma can be an exhausting, overwhelming and helpless experience. As you replay the traumatic event over and over in your head, looking for what went wrong and what you could have done differently, you may struggle with intense shame, guilt and self-blame. Maybe a part of you believes you deserved what happened, and you doubt your worth and strength. If the trauma occurred long ago, or if your memories are hazy and vague, you might worry that something’s wrong with you for feeling such intense pain today. You may fear that you’re broken, and that the life you want to live is beyond reach. Perhaps you feel cut off from your true self, lost and unsure of how to reconnect with your spirit and move forward as the whole, resilient person you want to be.
“You don’t have to travel through life alone.”

You Are Not Alone or Broken
Trauma takes many forms. Some people experience a single life-threatening event, such as a natural disaster, physical assault, car accident or significant rejection. Some survive ongoing, continuous trauma in adulthood or childhood, such as emotional or physical abuse, war or bullying. Without realizing it, many of us experienced birth trauma or a dangerous experience at the very moment we entered the world.
Most people have encountered a traumatic event at some point in their lives, and many of us are carrying the pain of the past, whether we know it consciously or not. Childhood trauma and birth trauma can be especially insidious, shaping the way we understand and navigate the world in ways we aren’t fully aware of. It’s also possible to experience different types of trauma in one lifetime, and new challenges or threats can not only be overwhelming on their own, but also raise buried trauma to the surface, leaving us feeling overwhelmed or even paralyzed.
Early traumatic experiences are stored in our cellular memory, below conscious awareness, and can cause us to think that the unease and disconnection we are living with is just the natural way of life. In fact, all trauma is stored in the body. And, when trauma is not resolved and released, it can develop into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and make it feel nearly impossible to live a fulfilling, authentic life.
The good news is that your life doesn’t need to be limited by shame, fear and pain. A trauma therapist who specializes in emotional and spiritual healing can help you resolve trauma, realign with your highest self and move forward with a new sense of grace, lightness and empowerment.
What to Expect…
Trauma Therapy Can Heal Your Mind, Body and Spirit
Because trauma is a dramatic, body-centered experience, a holistic therapy approach that recognizes and respects the interlocking network of the mind, body and psyche is essential for lasting healing. In my practice, I draw upon effective, proven techniques—including Gestalt therapy and Soul Centered Breathwork® adapting my particular approach to best support and address your specific needs and goals. Regardless of what you’ve been through, healing trauma is possible. You can release trauma from your very cells, reclaim your true strength and discover a brighter, freer way of engaging with the world.
In sessions, I create a soothing, compassionate space for you to explore and address not only your symptoms of trauma, but also the root cause. If you have been carrying your pain for a long time—perhaps most of your life—childhood trauma therapy can help you heal from the inside out. With my intuitive support and guidance, you can shift your perspective and come to understand that the apprehension, self-doubt and self-criticism you’ve been living with are not natural aspects of your personality. Rather, they are defense mechanisms you’ve developed to cope with a threatening world. In truth, at your core, you are wise, strong and whole. Therapy can help you identify what you really want out of life, embody that strength and wisdom and learn how to follow a clear, empowered path.
During therapy for PTSD and trauma treatment sessions, I can help you better understand your emotions and body sensations so you can recognize a feeling as it arises and begins to overwhelm you. Repressing emotions only allows them to throw you further off balance, keeping you further away from your highest self. Moving at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you, we can process negative emotions and develop a plan to help you positively navigate challenges in the future.
Together, we can peel away the negative, limiting experiences keeping you stuck and replace them with life-affirming awareness, as well as practical tools that build confidence and hope. You can transform your relationship with fear and doubt so that it no longer controls you or influences your decisions. You can awaken dull, numbed senses and step into your most alive, authentic self—the self that is yearning to be free. When you start to build a relationship with your other, highest self, you can realize that you are truly not alone. There are unseen, supportive forces and energies waiting to respond to your intentions and desires. Trauma therapy can help you clear away the debris blocking your way, tap into your innate strength, bring your deepest intentions into reality and live a fulfilling life.
F.A.Q
I’m nervous that I’ll discover something horrible if I delve into the past.
This is an understandable fear. But, oftentimes, our fear of what we might experience is actually much worse than the reality. If there is something painful in your past, it may be causing you harm today whether you choose to identify it or not. By exploring and addressing the traumas in your past, you can better understand your truth, fully acknowledge what you’ve survived and resolve that buried pain. And, in sessions, I will always move at your pace. We don’t have to talk about the past until you feel fully ready to. As we work together, my goal is to get you to a place where you feel strong and resilient enough to express what happened. Then, you can find relief.
Trauma therapy may help others, but it won’t help me.
Self-limiting thoughts are often a symptom of unresolved trauma. I invite you to consider how often beliefs like this pop into your head and get in your way. In sessions, you and I can investigate where your self-limiting beliefs are stemming from. I believe that you have worth and wisdom, and I have seen how transformative this work can be. I believe that therapy for trauma can help you, too.
I’ve heard that trauma counseling take a long time and is expensive.
Consider the investment you are willing to make in yourself. You have the right to be whole. I truly believe that you are inherently worthy of living the life you want. My body-centered approach to trauma therapy is truly effective, and your word and intention have power. Ultimately, the universe wants for you what you want for yourself, and if you make a decision to move forward, life has a way of supporting your desires. With dedication and a willingness to seek emotional and spiritual healing, you can achieve more than you ever thought possible in less time than you think.
If you’re ready to let go of the past and live fully in the present, call or email me to schedule a free 45-minute consultation.
